A Shelby woman was arrested on Tuesday for driving a stolen vehicle and methamphetamine possession, according to a Catawba County Sheriff’s Office press release.
Officers with the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office Special Enforcement Group pulled over a vehicle registered in South Carolina, which was driven by 27-year-old Brittany Shae Mayhue.
Deputies discovered the vehicle was reported stolen from Cherokee County, S.C. and Mayhue had three outstanding warrants for driving-related charges from Gaston County. She was charged, arrested and taken to the Catawba County Detention Center for possessing the stolen vehicle and the outstanding warrants.
Upon arrival, deputies realized Mayhue was also in possession of methamphetamine. She was charged with possession of a controlled substance inside of a detention facility and her bond was set at $21,000.
