HICKORY - For a second straight weekend, Mother Nature has interfered with plans at Hickory Motor Speedway.
The speedway announced that Saturday night's race has been canceled due to inclement weather, according to a press release from HMS.
"This is a tough spot," general manager Kevin Piercy said via the release. "We do not take these decisions lightly. We have several competitors that are eager to hit the track."
Last weekend's events were also washed out due to inclement weather.
The next scheduled race at Hickory Motor Speedway will be next weekend when the Knights of Destruction visit the Birthplace of the NASCAR Stars.
