CATAWBA Micheal Wayne Evans, 59, of Catawba passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at his home. Micheal was born Jan. 18, 1960, in Catawba County to the late Wayne Palmer and Brenda Mae Lail Evans. Micheal was an honorary member of the Hillbilly Hotrodders of Maiden. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Lisa Eades Evans of the home; daughter, Kelsey Blanton and husband, Owen, of Catawba; twin Brothers, Lonnie and Ronnie Evans both of Catawba; and three aunts, Betty Evans of Claremont, Aileen Smith of Hickory and Debbie Midkiff and husband, Tim of Newton. The funeral service will be held Monday, July 8, at 2 p.m., at the Burke Mortuary in Newton with Pastor Bob Stewartofficiating. Serving as pallbearers are, Michael Vaughan, Bradley Lowrance, Carl Blanton, Bob Tutherow, Marshall Taylor and Reggie Evans, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers are, Matthew Taylor and Joshua Vaughan. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park in Hickory. The family will receive friends from 1 to 1:45 p.m., at the funeral home, prior to the service.
