HICKORY Virginia Huffman Anderson, 92, of Hickory, passed away peacefully Monday June 3, 2019, at Trinity Ridge in Hickory. Virginia was born Jan. 29, 1927. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, Andrew Bryan Anderson Sr.; and a son, Andrew Bryan Anderson Jr. She is now with her Savior in heaven, but will remain in the hearts of all her family. She worked in the family business, Anderson Sprinkler Company, as vice president/secretary treasurer. Virginia and Bryan worked as a team preparing fabulous meals served to family members. Memories of Maw-Maw's house include meals of ham, potato salad, slaw, green beans and corn (and a special bowl for Crystal without the corn) and banana pudding with fresh whipped cream for Pam. Linda loved it all. Everybody enjoyed the swing on the carport and the kids climbing in the dogwood tree. On special days, the house was filled with laughter. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Jefferson and Lottie Kaylor Huffman; brother, Harvey; and her sisters, Frankie Pruitt, Nell Lutz, Louise Huffman, Shirley Fisher, Mary Bolch, and Lois Isenhour. She has one surviving sister, Betty Owen of Rimrock, Ariz. She is also survived by her three daughters, Linda and husband, Larry Fisher, of Mooresville, Pam and husband, Larry Bowen, of Clemmons, Crystal and husband, David Moorhouse, of Moore, S.C.; eight grandchildren, Holley Dagenhardt and husband, James, of Hickory, Tara Killian and husband, Justin, of Hickory, Chad Anderson and wife, Christiane, of New York, N.Y., Andy Fisher and wife, Jessica, of Cornelius, Patrick Fisher of Huntersville, Catherine, Emily and Alex Moorhouse of Moore; nine great-grandchildren, Conor and Brady Anderson, Gavin and Autumn Dagenhardt, Hannah, Lauren, Sophia, Anderson and Zachary Fisher; two stepgreat-grandchildren, Sofia and Eliana Vivolous; daughter-in-law, Connie Morrison of Hickory; brother-in-law, Marion Bolch; along with many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
