Woman charged in pizza restaurant larceny

Hickory police arrested a Hickory woman on Thursday on charges of larceny by an employee, according to the Hickory Police Department.

On May 30, police received a report of a larceny at the Italian Village Pizza restaurant in the Valley Hills Mall, according to an incident report.

The incident report lists $600 as the amount allegedly stolen from the business.

After an investigation, Erin Olivia Shell, 39, of Hickory, was arrested on Thursday and charged with one felony count of larceny by an employee. She was issued a $10,000 secured bond and had her first appearance in Catawba County District Court on Friday, according to an arrest report.

Shell is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
