An undercover investigation led to the arrest of two men in Lenoir on Friday, according to a press release from the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office.
After undercover agents were able to purchase illegal drugs several times from a suspect at a residence in the 3000 block of Cameo Lane in Lenoir, narcotics agents and SWAT members with the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office alongside the Lenoir Police Department conducted an early morning search warrant at the residence.
Alvin Lorance Hames, 29, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to sell/deliver methamphetamine, possession with intent to sell/deliver marijuana and maintaining a dwelling to store controlled substances, according to the release.
Brandon Alan Ervin, 27, was also arrested. He is charged with possession of methamphetamine after he was found in possession of 1 gram of methamphetamine, the release states.
Hames is being held under a $150,000 secured bond, and Ervin is being held under a $25,000 secured bond. They are both scheduled to have their first appearance in Caldwell County District Court on Monday, according to the release.
During a search of the residence, 10.92 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 192 grams of marijuana, assorted items of drug paraphernalia and a .22 long rifle were seized, according to the release.
The drugs have a street value of $4,242, the release states.
