HICKORY — The Ridgeview Branch of the Hickory Public Library is offering a free, six-week GED preparation class. This class will be held at the Ridgeview Branch every Tuesday and Thursday from 7-8 p.m. beginning Tuesday, July 16, and continuing Thursday, July 18.

This six-week class will focus on the first of the four GED subtests, Reasoning Through Language Arts. While registration is not required, students are encouraged to attend the first class on July 16 at 7 p.m. to complete a brief assessment and to learn about additional resources for GED preparation available to them.

Ridgeview Library is at 706 First St. SW, at the corner of First Street and  Seventh Avenue SW, beside the Ridgeview Recreation Center. All library programs are free and open to the public.
