Granite Falls police are looking for a Maryland man wanted for theft and fraud, according to a press release.
The release said Kun Min Park, 52, of Laurel, Md. took $92,065 worth of lighting equipment from Commercial Lighting on North Main Street in Granite Falls on Sept. 27, 2018.
The next day, Commercial Equipment received a bounced check from their bank for $7,021. According to the release, the check was from Park to pay for equipment he picked up in August 2018.
The release said the company attempted to contact and collect money from Park, but Park was not reached by his telephone number or address.
According to the release, Park used the name “Eric Park” under the business Green Light Express, which was supposedly based in Charlotte and Elliot City, Md. Investigators could not locate the businesses in those cities, according to the release.
Park is wanted for felony larceny, felony possession of stolen goods and felony obtaining property by false pretense, the release said.
Those with information about Kun Min Park or Green Light Express should contact Sgt. Rick Lail at 828-396-3358 or at email@example.com or call Lenoir/Caldwell Crime Stoppers at 828-758-8300 to remain anonymous.
