NEWTON — The Catawba County Genealogical Society will hold its May meeting on Tuesday, May 28, at the Catawba County Public Library in Newton.

Alex Floyd, curator of the Evelyn Deal Rhodes Room at the library, will present a program featuring the latest acquisitions for the Rhodes Room over the past six months. Floyd’s programs always offer fresh insights for members and visitors into what new materials are available for genealogical and historical research.

The meeting begins with a social time at 6:30 p.m. and the program at 7 p.m. All CCGS meetings are free and open to the public.
