CONCORD, N.C. -- Administrators for Cabarrus County Schools will recommend on Monday to the Board of Education that 22 teacher assistants return to the classroom for the 2013-14 year.

The board will meet for its work session at 6 p.m. on Monday, and during the meeting, members are scheduled to hear a report about the state’s 2013-14 budget and a plan for teacher assistants. In May, the system laid off 129 teacher assistants, based on budget predictions.
