Car breaking and entering duo arrested: More charges pending

HICKORY NC – A Conover man and Claremont woman were arrested Sunday in connection with a car break-in and larceny that occurred earlier at George’s 321 Restaurant, according to Leia Burwell of the Hickory Police Department.

Matthew Stephen Whitener, 22, and Heather Lynn Greiner, 24, were arrested on Sunday and served warrants issued Sept. 19. The charges include one felony count each breaking and entering a vehicle, and one misdemeanor count each larceny and one each misdemeanor count obtaining property by false pretense. Greiner was charged additionally with one felony count probation violation.
