Apple gets OK to increase fuel cell site in Maiden

HICKORY, NC — Apple got the OK this week to increase the size of its fuel cell installation on the campus of its Maiden data center.

The North Carolina Utilities Commission issued the order Tuesday that approves the technology giant to take its fuel cell installation from 4.8 megawatts to 10 megawatts.
