The following cases were heard the week of Sept. 10-15 in Burke County Superior Court with Judge Robert C. Ervin presiding.

 » Jamie Leann Hall Barrier, 33, of Hilltop Street, Rutherford College was found guilty of possession of stolen goods. Barrier was sentenced to five-15 months in the N.C. Department of Corrections with two days credit, 18 months supervised probation and 50 hours of community service over 150 days.

 » Cecil Lester Benfield Jr., 52, of Lions Hill Street was found guilty of possession of a firearm by a felon. Benfield was sentenced to 18 months supervised probation and 50 hours of community service over 150 days.

 » Roy Travis Benfield, 23, of Jamison Drive was found guilty of burning other buildings. Benfield was sentenced to six-17 months in the N.C. Department of Corrections, 24 months supervised probation and 50 hours of community service over 150 days.  

 » Shawn Terrell Boyce, 40, of Grayson Street, Marion was found guilty of felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance. Boyce was sentenced to five to six months in the N.C. Department of Corrections with eigth days credit, 18 months supervised probation and 60 hours of community service over 150 days.  

 » Timothy Shawn Byrd, 34, of Gus Icard Street, Connelly Springs was found guilty of two counts of uttering forged instruments and one count of obtaining property under false pretenses. Byrd was sentenced to 10-12 months in the N.C. Department of Corrections, 30 months supervised probation and 60 hours of community service over 150 days. Byrd was additionally ordered to pay restitution of $373.84.  

 » Joseph Harry Carson, 49, of Rader Circle was found guilty of possession of methamphetamine. Carson was sentenced to six to eight months in the N.C. Department of Corrections, 18 months supervised probation and 50 hours of community service over 150 days.  

 » Dustin Anthony Crowder, 26, of Conley Road was found guilty of three counts of uttering forged instruments. Crowder was sentenced to six to eight months in the N.C. Department of Corrections with dight days credit, 18 months supervised probation and 50 hours of community service over 150 days. Crowder was additionally ordered to pay restitution of $240.  

 » Sheryl Lavette Davis, 55, of Walker Road was found guilty of possession of cocaine with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver. Davis was sentenced to 10-12 months in the N.C. Department of Corrections, 24 months supervised probation and 48 hours of community service over 150 days.  

 » Perry Dean Dellinger, 48, of Coopers Loop was found guilty of two counts of obtaining property under false pretenses. Dellinger was sentenced to six-17 months in the N.C. Department of Corrections with 38 days credit, 18 months supervised probation and 48 hours of community service over 150 days. Dellinger was additionally ordered to pay restitution of $113.85.  

 » Christina Anne Dills, 28, of Icard Starnes Road, Granite Falls was found guilty of possession of methamphetamine and possession or distribution of a methamphetamine precursor. Dills was sentenced to 19-23 months in the N.C. Department of Corrections with 32 days credit, 30 months supervised probation and 60 hours of community service over 150 days.  

 » Terlwan Jacquain Edwards, 28, of St. Paul, Minn. was found guilty of vehicular breaking and entering. Edwards was sentenced to three to four months in the N.C. Department of Corrections with 58 days credit.  

 » Brandon Cody Epley, 24, of Mount Olive Church Road was found guilty of possession of stolen goods. Epley was sentenced to six-17 months in the N.C. Department of Corrections with three days credit, 30 months supervised probation and 50 hours of community service over 150 days. Epley was additionally ordered to pay restitution of $4,390.  

 » Alice Octavia Greene, 41, of Sunshine Lane, Lenoir was found guilty of attempting to obtain a controlled substance through fraud or forgery. Greene was sentenced to three to four months in the N.C Department of Correction with three days credit, 18 months supervised probation and 48 hours of community service over 150 days.  

 » Patrick Joshua Hall, 29, of Spring Street, Connelly Springs was found guilty of felony breaking and entering, four counts of felony larceny and two counts of attempted larceny. Hall was sentenced to eight-10 months prison time with two days credit, 48 months of supervised probation and 96 hours of community service over 180 days. Hall was additionally ordered to pay restitution of $14,397.75.  

 » Travis Dean Harold, 32, of Old Village Drive, Hiddenite was found guilty of felony larceny. Harold was sentenced to 18-22 months in the N.C. Department of Corrections with 26 days credit. Harold was additionally ordered to pay restitution of $700.  

 » Joseph Harold Hensley, 45, of Zero Mull Road was found guilty of first-degree burglary. Hensley was sentenced to 24-41 months in the N.C. Department of Corrections with 53 days credit.  

 » Dallas Christopher Hopkins, 28, of Amherst Road was found guilty of breaking and entering. Hopkins was sentenced to nine-11 months in the N.C. Department of Corrections with six days credit, 24 months supervised probation and 60 hours of community service. Hopkins was additionally ordered to pay restitution of $405.87.  

 » Chris Eugene Johnson, 38, of Ridge Street was found guilty of obtaining a controlled substance by fraud or forgery. Johnson was sentenced to five-15 months in the N.C. Department of Corrections with 32 days credit, 18 months supervised probation and 48 hours of community service over 150 days.  

 » Jeremy Ryan Lowman, 36, of Park Avenue was found guilty of possession/distribution of a methamphetamine precursor. Lowman was sentenced to 23-28 months in the N.C. Department of Corrections with 73 days credit.  

 » Jessica Elizabeth Mann, 24, of South Avenue SW, Valdese was found guilty of obtaining property under false pretenses. Mann was sentenced to five to six months in the N.C. Department of Corrections with 19 days credit, 12 months probation and 48 hours of community service over 150 days.  

 » Brandon Rachawn McCree, 26, of Cinderella Road, Charlotte was found guilty of possession of stolen goods. McCree was sentenced to 45 days in prison with 57 days credit. McCree was additionally ordered to pay restitution of $15.  

 » Michael Edward Monn, 20, of Foresthaven Road was found guilty of misdemeanor larceny. Monn was sentenced to 45 days in Burke County prison, 12 months supervised probation and 48 hours of community service over 150 days.  

 » Daryl Roderick Page II, 26, of Club House Street, Durham was found guilty of robbery with a dangerous weapon and second-degree burglary. Page was sentenced to 72-96 months in the N.C. Department of Corrections with 98 days credit. Page was additionally ordered to pay restitution of $10,220.25.  

 » Jerry Allen Pendergrast, 34, of Cedar Street, Rhodiss was found guilty of breaking and entering. Pendergrast was sentenced to 10-12 months in the N.C. Department of Corrections, 30 months of supervised probation and 72 hours of community service over 180 days. Pendergrast was additionally ordered to pay restitution of $500.  

 » Lloyd Pittman, 43, of Oak Hill Forest Road was found guilty of possession of a firearm by a felon. Pittman was sentenced to 13-16 months in the N.C. Department of Corrections, 24 months supervised probation and 60 hours of community service over 150 days. Pittman was additionally ordered to pay a fine of $250.  

 » Daphne Darlene Poovey, 41, of East Union Street was found guilty of forgery of instrument and uttering a forged instrument. Poovey was sentenced to six-17 months in the N.C. Department of Corrections with four days credit, 18 months supervised probation and 48 hours of community service over 150 days.  

 » William Todd Porter, 31, of Peyronel Street, Connelly Springs was found guilty of obtaining property under false pretenses. Porter was sentenced to six to eight months in the N.C. Department of Corrections with eight days credit, 24 months supervised probation and 50 hours of community service over 150 days. Porter was additionally ordered to pay restitution of $737.79.  

 » Ashley Michelle Scott, 28, of Lenoir Street was found guilty of obtaining property under false pretenses. Scott was sentenced to eight-19 months in the N.C Department of Corrections with 104 days credit, 24 months supervised probation and 60 hours of community service over 150 days.  

 » Chris Wade Shuping, 21, of Perkins Road SE, Valdese was found guilty of breaking and entering and possession of a firearm by a felon. Shuping was sentenced to eight-19 months in the N.C. Department of Corrections with 276 days credit for the breaking and entering charges in addition to 17-30 months with 30 months of supervised probation for the firearm charge. Shuping was additionally ordered to complete 72 hours of community service over 180 days and pay restitution of $4,500.  

 » Tiffany Ann Stamey, 24, of West Concord Street was found guilty of possession of methamphetamine with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver. Stamey was sentenced to six to eight months in the N.C. Department of Corrections with 75 days credit, 24 months supervised probation and 50 hours of community service over 150 days. 

 » Michelle Elizabeth Walker, 42, of Scottsmoor, Fla. was found guilty of possession/distribution of a methamphetamine precursor. Walker was sentenced to 16-29 months in the N.C. Department of Corrections with 187 days credit, 24 months supervised probation and 60 hours of community service over 150 days.  

 » Billy Eugene Willis Jr., 43, of Amherest Road was found guilty of possession/distribution of a methamphetamine precursor. Willis was sentenced to 13-25 months in the N.C. Department of Corrections with 45 days credit, 24 months supervised probation and 60 hours of community service over 150 days.  

 » James Alan Winegardner, 47, of Lions Hill Street was found guilty of financial card theft as a habitual felon. Winegardner was sentenced to 20-36 months in prison with 148 days credit.  

 » Mary Elizabeth Winkler, 32, of Pine Trail, Glen Alpine was found guilty of violating the terms of her probation, breaking and entering and larceny. Winkler was sentenced to 45 days in prison in addition to 10-21 months in the N.C. Department of Corrections, 36 months supervised probation and 72 hours of community service over 180 days. Winkler was additionally ordered to pay restitution of $6,500.  

 » Cindy Carol Woody, 44, of Union Street, Maiden was found guilty of possession of cocaine with intent to sell, manufacture or deliver. Woody was sentenced to eight-10 months in the N.C. Department of Corrections, 18 months supervised probation and 50 hours of community service over 150 days.
