Cabarrus, Concord kick in $1.68M in incentives for S&D Coffee expansion

CONCORD, N.C. – Cabarrus County and the City of Concord approved incentive grants totaling $1.68 million to help fuel S&D Coffee and Tea’s $48 million expansion announced Monday.

Cabarrus County commissioners on Monday approved an incentive grant worth $998,999.65 to S&D. The county would still collect $301,055.44 in property taxes.

Concord City Council approved an economic development incentive grant $685,028.33 for S&D, which is headquartered in Concord, during a special called meeting Monday. The city will still collect $206,069.46 yearly in property taxes on the expansion.
